Celina Villagarcia’s roots are in the Rio Grande Valley, San Benito, Texas.
She earned her B.A. in Sociology at Metropolitan State University of Denver
and most recently a Masters of Arts in Theology at Oblate School of Theology
in 2012.
She has lived in San Antonio, Texas for the past thirteen years where she and her husband, Paul, find great pleasure in raising their four children, ages 12 to 19. Her first book of poetry Pulp (Mouthfeel Press) was published in 2013. Her work has appeared in Texas Poetry Calendar, San Antonio Express-News, and various journals including Forge Journal, Acentos Review, and The Café Review.
